LYFL / MARTY MOORE SUMMER YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP

Our second year for this camp will feature full-contact football emphasizing the fundamentals of blocking, tackling, ball carrying, throwing and catching. Marty Moore is a former NFL linebacker who played 8 seasons with the Super Bowl Champions New England Patriots.  He also played 1 year with the Cleveland Browns.  Marty, along with other former NFL and college football players, will provide one-on-one instruction for the entire camp.    Our staff of volunteer coaches will assist these football experts in providing a comprehensive, productive and informative program.  This is a great opportunity to learn from the best.  The camp will be conducted in full pads provided by LYFL (see the section on the LYFL FALL SEASON for specific equipment information).  The dates and times for this 5 session camp are as follows:

                                       June 23 (Tuesday) 5:30 – 7:30 pm

LYFL PRE-SEASON STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM

This will be an informal program geared towards age-appropriate strengthening and conditioning for the attendees.  Sessions will include sports-specific strengthening exercises, plyometric techniques, as well as speed and agility training.  We will also be coaching fundamental techniques for safe blocking and tackling using non-contact drills, as well as throwing and catching drills.   This program is designed for both the players that could not attend the SUMMER CAMP (so they can get a head start on football fundamentals and conditioning), as well as for players that want to continue their pre-season training and conditioning following the SUMMER CAMP in preparation for the FALL SEASON.  Shorts, T- shirts, and appropriate athletic shoes (no cleats) are the only equipment needed.  We will be offering up to 8 sessions for your child.  The dates are as follows:

July 7 (Tuesday)                                  July 21 (Tuesday)

July 10 (Friday)                                    July 24 (Friday)

July 17 (Friday)                                    July 31 (Friday)

The cost for the full camp is $80.  Each session will be from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
